The CFL playoffs are played within each division. In the East and in the West, the second-place team hosts the third-place team in the Division Semi-Final, and the winner travels to the first-place team for the Division Final a week later. The two division champions meet in the Grey Cup, so an East–West final is guaranteed. A fourth-place team from one division can take the other division's third playoff spot (the "crossover") if it has more points. The October 31 semi-finals are confirmed: Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Toronto Argonauts at 1 p.m. ET and Saskatchewan Roughriders at BC Lions at 4:30 p.m. ET.

2026 is the first Grey Cup played after several western provinces stopped changing their clocks. British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba no longer fall back in November, so Winnipeg shows the same time as Toronto at kickoff, Calgary the same as Regina, and Vancouver stays one hour behind Calgary. Times in Nunavut and northwestern Ontario depend on the local zone. See Canada's time zones for the details.

How to watch

  • English, in Canada: TSN and CTV; streaming coverage is available on Crave.
  • French, in Canada: RDS.
  • United States and internationally: CFL+ (check your territory's listings).

The show around the game is part of the event. Country singer Riley Green headlines the halftime show, Sarah McLachlan sings O Canada, and Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor of Blue Rodeo perform before kickoff.

Tickets and the Grey Cup Festival

Game tickets are sold by the host club, the Calgary Stampeders, through the official 2026 Grey Cup ticket site. Requests for accessible seating go through Stampeders customer service. Buying from the official seller is the only way to be sure a ticket is genuine; resold festival tickets are not accepted.

The Cenovus Energy 2026 Grey Cup Festival runs from November 11 to 14 on the Stampede Park grounds, with team parties at the BMO Centre, concerts, the CFL alumni events and a free street festival. Tourism Calgary expects more than 350,000 visits over the festival week. Hotels near downtown and Stampede Park fill early, so book well ahead if you are travelling.

McMahon Stadium, the Stampeders' home since 1960, seats about 35,000. Calgary games in mid-November are often cold, so dress for sub-zero temperatures in the stands.

Calgary as host

This is Calgary's sixth Grey Cup. The city previously hosted in 1975, 1993, 2000, 2009 and 2019. The CFL awards the game to a member club, which runs the festival with the city and its tourism partners; Calgary was named host for 2026 in November 2024.

Winnipeg played in five straight Grey Cups from 2019 to 2024 (there was no game in 2020) and won two of them. Toronto's 2024 win was the Argonauts' 19th Grey Cup, the most of any club. The Roughriders' 2025 title was their fifth, after 1966, 1989, 2007 and 2013.

Where the trophy comes from

The Grey Cup is named after Albert Grey, 4th Earl Grey, Governor General of Canada, who donated a trophy in 1909 for the amateur rugby football championship of Canada. The first game was played on December 4, 1909, in Toronto, where the University of Toronto beat the Parkdale Canoe Club 26–6. The competition later became the championship of professional Canadian football and, since the league's formation, the CFL's title game. It has been played on a Sunday in mid-to-late November in recent years, usually the weekend after Remembrance Day.

Next year: 114th Grey Cup in Regina

The CFL has awarded the 114th Grey Cup in 2027 to the Saskatchewan Roughriders, at Mosaic Stadium in Regina. The league had not officially published the 2027 game date when this page was last checked; it usually confirms it with the season schedule. This page keeps the same address and will be updated with the 2027 date and countdown.
